The Denix SMLE has various visual faults. This one resolves many of them due to the below alterations ("real" means parts from actualSMLE rifke):
- Real nose cap, compatible with bayonets
- Real front sight
- Reproduction "real spec" upper hand guards
- Real barrel band recessed into the fore-end
- Real rear sight to give a proper sliding windage adjustment
- Real trigger guard and blade
- Buttstock from a Lee Enfield, with butt disc and correct sling swivel
- Weight added to more closely match a real SMLE
This is still a replica, tge basics have not been changed. But now it looks a lot more like a real SMLE, without the low quality unrealistic parts used by Denix.
Note this will need a buttplate fitted, easily sourced and just 2 screws to fit. I can add one at additional cost.
This was built to look old, it has mock repairs in tge wood, dinks and scratches.
I can supply a period (not repro) sling for an extra £20.
