Description

Here I have my WW2 1943 Ford Gpw Jeep.

I have been restoring this vehicle on and off for 4 years and it is now finished. I have all photos of the strip down and restoration, 4 years ago it had recently been imported over from California. I have had the military vehicle trust come out and verify its authenticity and now have the V5 in my name and age related plates on the vehicle. The chassis numbers are only 5 digits so it’s quite an early one.
When I purchased the vehicle it had lots of copy aftermarket parts on it, which I have removed and replaced with genuine WW2 parts used and NOS parts lots of the parts came from pacific Jeep parts uk, even down to the original F marked bolts, no expense spared.
Original F marked radiator, radiator cap from USA. Original Nos generator from USA the list is long, original steering wheel etc.
I have had a really good military Jeep enthusiast do some research into the hood numbers and the hood number on the vehicle is as close as he could research it’s with in 100 out of 300,000 genuine hood numbers, so not bad. He also researched the chassis numbers and the jeep was built in the Dallas factory January 18th 1943. There was no data plates on the vehicle so I had them made with the correct details, the engine has the original head and the engine block is not original it is a later 1945 but my research says this was quite a common thing to happen.
The vehicle has got a brand new wiring loom fitted.
Brand new fuel lines and new tank
Brand new brake lines
Brand new exact replica radiator
Original fire extinguisher
Original shovel
New canvas seats and canopy
Original combat rims x5
Original Ford pintle hook
It’s a real nice rare mostly original vehicle. I also have the 1944 M1 carbine to go with the vehicle with deactivation certificate. The field bags on the Jeep are original as are the aerial and bag. It also comes with original WW2 raft survival full kit including the dried up bait! Also a 1944 military base map of USA. Unfortunately my circumstances have changed and I will have to part with her.
